Pritex Ltd was the proud recipient of the Environmental Awareness Award at the fifth Automotive Global Awards for Supply Chain. Held in the majestic surroundings of Claridge’s Hotel, London, with top automotive industry guests in attendance, Pritex was announced as the company which had done the most to reduce the impact of pollution on the environment.
Facing tough competition, the Wellington based manufacturer was selected for its ability to reduce waste-to-landfill and increase trailer utilisation from a key supplier. Pritex were able to demonstrate to the judging panel how a desire to improve environmental performance can cascade through an organisation’s supply chain to increase competitiveness and benefit all stakeholders.
Collecting the award Gareth Jones, Managing Director at Pritex said: “I’m delighted to accept this award on behalf of everyone in the company. We produce some fantastic products for many of the world’s top car companies and we are always looking for new ways to reduce waste and our carbon footprint. It’s wonderful that our efforts have been recognised at such a prestigious event.”
Top executives gathered to represent the automotive industry at this black tie event with the sole purpose of acknowledging superb performance. Pritex was one of 18 companies and individuals rewarded for having achieved the unachievable or for having pioneered a new way of thinking or working.
